This attractive residential area has many large well-maintained period detached and semi-detached houses. The area is popular with families due to the easy commute into central London, its variety of green open spaces and highly regarded local schools.

The High Street, which is packed with all the amenities you need and a good supply of pubs, leads to the river in just minutes. There are several pretty riverside walks going North to Teddington and South alongside Hampton Court Park. To the north of Hampton Court Park lies Bushy Park, so lots of open space, which is unusual being only 30 minutes from Waterloo by train.

The riverside is seeing new developments pop up such as Marina Place with its private marina, and Laing’s Langdon Park which was previously Normansfield Hospital, creating a variety of quality new housing in the area.

Just across the bridge in Hampton Wick you’ll find an abundance of shops in Kingston and the Bentall Centre. For people interested in sports there is Kempton Park racecourse and Strawberry Hill golf club. Private sailing, tennis and social clubs include The Thames Sailing Club, Ariel Sailing Centre, the Lensbury Club, and the Hampton Wick Royal Cricket Club.

Bordering pretty riverside walks just north of the Thames and surrounded by open green spaces lies Chiswick.  It is situated in the borough of Hounslow.  Chiswick is a mainly residential area attracting professional couples and families with the southern part of the area generally known as more exclusive.

There are unique and grand properties in the area ranging from Victorian mansion blocks to grand Georgian houses on Chiswick Mall, or newer developments such as Eyot Green (1960), Millers Court (70s) and Chiswick Wharf (90s).

There are a number of independent schools in the area and good sports and recreational facilities namely The Park Club just off Chiswick High Road.  Chiswick High Road also has a selection of popular restaurants, cafes and places to shop.

There are a few tubes serving the area including Chiswick Park, Stamford Brook, Gunnersbury and Turnham Green on the District and Piccadilly lines.  Chiswick overground trains will take you to Waterloo.  Nearby road links include the M4 motorway and the North Circular Road.

Teddington lies between Bushy Park and the River Thames in South West London. Its High St has a collection of fashionable cafes and boutique shops.  The High St leads to Teddington Lock with its footbridge over the river leading to Richmond. 

Teddington is a mainly residential affluent area.  With good links to London Waterloo (30 minutes by train) and its nearby green spaces and the river make it popular with commuters.

The banks of the river Thames in Barnes are a great place to watch the Cambridge and Oxford boat race!

This pretty, leafy village in the borough of Richmond Upon Thames is dotted with a mix of tiny 18th century cottages and substantial 20th century houses. 

Barnes High Street leads to the village green, which has a duck pond surrounded by upmarket pubs, restaurants and boutique  shops.  The area is home to many celebrities.

It’s proximity to the centre of London is good, but you can often hear the noise from the planes on their way to Heathrow.

Barnes has two railway stations, Barnes and Barnes Bridge, which offer frequent services to Clapham Junction and London Waterloo.
